Dr. Muhr grew up in Tyler (formerly Melanie Forster) and graduated from Robert E. Lee H.S. in 1996. Following graduation, she attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX where she played NCAA Division III soccer for 4 years while earning her bachelors degree. She then attended veterinary school at Texas A&M University and graduated in 2004. Before returning to Tyler in June 2006, Dr. Muhr worked at Ruidoso Animal Clinic in Ruidoso, NM for 2 years.
Dr. Muhr and her husband, Mark, have a beautiful little girl named Naomi Eva who was born August 30, 2008. They also have a lab mix named Kodi and a dachshund named Willie.
In her spare time, Dr. Muhr enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending church, playing indoor soccer, camping, water skiing, and rock climbing.
